John & Linda
John and Linda's love story developed in the heart of our beautiful city. Since its creation, the couple has been a part of the Pittsburgh Puzzle Pursuit - an adventure in which participants must decipher clues to solve puzzles. John and Linda have spent many of their date nights working on these puzzles, allowing different clues to take them to their favorite places throughout the city. One clue they were given was a list of random numbers that would come to mean a lot to the couple. After realizing that the numbers were GPS coordinates, the couple found themselves embarking to the Fountain at the Point. Next they were prompted to count the number of blocks outlining the fountain, walking along the wall as they went. Two hundred counted blocks later landed John and Linda in the exact spot that remains their favorite place to go together, their "block 200." It was at this spot that John first told Linda he loved her (which Linda then enthusiastically reciprocated)! And it was at this spot that John asked Linda to marry him.
John came to our store with a printed out picture in hand as inspiration to create a custom engagement ring for Linda. The image was an aerial view of the Fountain at the Point. Our sketch artist, Jen, then created several drawings, transferring the forms from the picture into the form of a ring. With the help of our craftsmen, what started out as an abstract concept, took shape in the form of a truly one-of-a-kind engagement ring. Per John's request, the ring even has all 200 blocks incorporated into the design of the ring!
After learning about the details and planning that went into creating her ring, Linda shared with us that her ring makes her feel loved in a "specific and individual way."
John and Linda, it was an honor to be a small part of your incredible love story!

Our experience with Trinity Jewelers has been truly unforgettable…
My fiancé and I have been together for nearly a decade. We wanted our engagement ring to reflect us and our story. We worked together to determine the best jeweler for us – which included many hours researching online and visiting retail chain stores. Those experiences were telling and not in the best light. Particularly, that a custom piece of jewelry was selecting a setting from a large catalog.
While researching online, I found Trinity Jewelers and visited the store on a Saturday afternoon. I was immediately greeted and treated with the utmost customer service. It’s more than customer service, it truly is an experience. I spent a few hours in the store consulting with the Director of Store Operations, Abby, and we immediately clicked. Unlike retail chain stores, Trinity Jewelers provides expert artisans and master goldsmiths working hand-in-hand to create authentic custom jewelry.
My fiancé and I visited the store the following week and met with Abby and jewelry designer, Jen. We had the opportunity to share our visions, ideas and inspirations behind our engagement ring concept. Much of what I shared were words and phrases that were important to me including whimsical, harry potter, antique, unique, trees, and the moon. Over the next few weeks, Jen was able to illustrate the setting based on our vision and bring my dream to life.
I inherited a Civil War Era wedding band from my family. Due to the age of the piece it does not represent todays gold or rose gold. As a result, we had the chance to work with an expert goldsmith who was able to alloy the medal to compliment the antique wedding band.
At this point, my fiancé and Abby worked exclusively to select the diamond – the idea was to have some element of surprise around the engagement. We were engaged Friday, February 13, 2015 at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Orlando, Florida. Our engagement ring turned out so much better than I had even dreamed of – even being involved in the process I was truly surprised with the end result. Trinity Jewelers and my fiancé worked wonderfully to make sure this was a breathtaking sculpted engagement ring.
The experience was an interaction vs a transaction and we feel part of the family. We receive cards and meaningful notes – these thoughtful gestures make a huge difference! We will continue to purchase all of our jewelry from the store and look forward to many years of superior service and products!

"I went into this with no knowledge about diamonds. With the help of Trinity and their experts, I was able to buy the perfect ring for the love of my life. Most importantly though, I was able to put a huge smile on her face."

"My husband and I started shopping at Trinity several years ago after my sister and I wondered in on a (lucky) lark. I can honestly say it's one of the best decisions we've ever made! We always get exactly what we're looking for, and the prices are always reasonable. We wouldn't go anyplace else for Pandora, or any other jewelry needs. The customer service in the family-owned store is better than we've experienced anywhere else, in any industry. We're always greeted by name, with a smile (and usually a hug). Abby is like a member of our family now! If you're not shopping at Trinity Jewelers, you're missing out!"

How we got engaged
"After work on a busy Friday, Kevin had a surprise for me. It was the only thing that got me through the day. We always look forward to the weekend together. I had mentioned wanting to go to the movies with my best friend Kate and her boyfriend earlier that week, but Kevin had a different plan. He told me to wear something nice and not eat anything. I knew it would be dinner, but that's all I suspected.
When he got to my house, later than he told me he would, I was less than pleased because I was starving. I was so happy to see him and glad to be dressed up together. My mom insisted on us taking a picture before we left, which I thought was odd, but I went along with it.
Then, when we finally made it out to the car Kevin made me put on a blindfold. I thought he was crazy, and I mentioned the possibility of him getting pulled over for kidnapping! After a few minutes of driving we ended up at our destination and I was so excited to get the blindfold off. We were at a beautifully decorated grove in North Park.
There were candles lit, mums everywhere, pumpkins, and leaves. It even had white Christmas lights strung all over! I felt like a princess having dinner there. We had all our favorite foods; salad, chinese, cheesecake, and more! We even drank our favorite wine, Dancing Bull.
The whole time we were eating I kept wondering what was on a table behind us. It was all covered up in a halloween table cloth and I was intrigued. After we ate, Kevin had another suprise waiting for me. He bought a nice box and had tiny slips of red construction paper cut to fit inside it. Each one had a reason he loved me on it. We read the box together and thought about all the most wonderful times we had.
After some begging, he finally agreed to show me what was covered up. He took off the table cloth, and much to my surprise were pumpkins, each one with a different word on it.
"Will-you-marry-me-?"
I thought it was a fairy tale, he even had to reassure me it was real-life. He got down on one knee and told me so many wonderful things. I was crying from happiness and I couldn't even see the ring. I said YES!
It was the very best day of my life!"
